Preventive screening program. Not diagnostic medicine.
The CVI Peak Prevention Program is an elective, preventive imaging service. It is not a substitute for routine medical care, emergency care, or physician-directed diagnostic evaluation. Participation does not establish a physician-patient relationship, and no diagnosis, treatment, or prescription is provided by CVI through this program.
No guarantee of outcomes
CVI makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation that its preventive imaging program will detect, prevent, or reduce the risk of any disease, condition, or outcome. Imaging has inherent limitations. A normal scan does not rule out disease. An abnormal scan does not establish a diagnosis. All findings require physician follow-up.
Limitations of preventive imaging
- Preventive screening MRI is not designed to detect all diseases, conditions, or abnormalities.
- A normal or unremarkable report does not rule out current or future disease.
- An abnormal or incidental finding does not constitute a diagnosis and may require further studies at additional cost.
- Imaging quality and findings may be affected by patient factors including but not limited to body composition, motion, prior surgery, and implants.
- Some findings may be of uncertain clinical significance and may lead to additional follow-up, anxiety, or expense.
- This program does not replace age-appropriate, guideline-based screening directed by a primary care physician (e.g., colonoscopy, mammography, Pap, PSA, skin exam, dental, vision).
- This program does not replace emergency evaluation for acute symptoms. If you are experiencing chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe abdominal pain, or other emergencies, dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
